Ways to spice up pan fried fish?

Every week or so my family makes a really simple fish dish. They get a salmon fish steak and fry it both sides for a while in a pan until it's nice and crispy, and then they throw on some salt. Can you guys think of any ways to spice up this dish? Maybe some simple extra ingredients I can add or some herbs and spices?
