Easy Korean Beef with Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger (or 1/4 tsp ground ginger)
  • 2 tsp minced garlic (4 cloves)
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 green onions (thinly sliced)
  • 2 cups rice (prepared or leftover)

Directions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a small pot
  2. DRAIN WELL!
  3. Mix in sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes
  4. Cook on HIGH 5 minutes
  5. Mix in soy sauce and brown sugar
  6. Lower heat, simmer 5-10 minutes
  7. Mix in green onions
  8. Simmer another 5-10 minutes
  9. Mix in rice (or serve over rice)
