Baguette canapes stuffed with pesto tuna. Easy Recipe for Christmas Punching

Ingredients:

  • 1 baguette
  • 5 oz of tuna in water
  • 7 oz fresh basil leaves
  • 1.5 oz of pine nuts
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 4 tsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp of mayonnaise
  • Salt and ground black pepper

Intructions:

  1. To start with this recipe we will prepare the pesto. To do this we will wash under the jet of cold water the leaves of basil that we will place in a food processor or a blender. Add the pine nuts, the clove of garlic, the olive oil, salt and pepper. Proceed to a thick consistency. Now cut the baguette in two and with a knife, and very carefully, remove all the crumb to stay simply with a cylinder of bread.

  2. The next step is to drain the tuna very well to remove all the water. Ideally, leave it in a colander for a few minutes. Next we will pour it in a bowl in which we will add the mayonnaise, the pesto that we have just made. Adjust with a little salt and pepper if necessary. Finally fill the baguette with the tuna until it is very compact. Wrap the baguette in foil and refrigerate about 30 minutes. Before serving remove the bread from the paper and cut it into slices a little less than an inch thick.
