I had it once when I was 13 years old at a small cafe in Salem MA. I went back to Salem about 6 years later but, alas, could not remember which cafe on the wharf it was and every one I went into did not have the cookie.
I'd love to figure out how to make it myself - the outside was definitely a soft, chewy cookie dough covered in crystallized sugar and the inside tasted like a thick, fudgy dark chocolate - more "gooey" than hardened. It was delicious and everyone in my group ate 4-5 before we left the cafe.
I'm not the most skilled at baking - I can make cookies from scratch from a recipe, but I've never tried one with filling so I might need extra explanations/links to tools on Amazon if you don't mind!
