Texas Caviar Dip Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 14 oz can of black-eyed peas (drained)
  • 1 15.5 oz can of white hominy (drained)
  • 2 medium tomatoes, seeded and chopped
  • 8 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 medium green pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cu chopped onion
  • 1/4 to 1/3 chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 cu picante sauce
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and finely diced

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Serve alone or with tortilla chips for dipping.
