apple pie soup for one

Ingredients: 1 apple, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 2 tsp butter (melted), 1/8 cup milk, a dash of cinnamon

optional ingredients: 1/8 cup cream cheese

core and cut that apple. not too fine, and don't cut into wedges (I find approx. 1 inch cubes works best). rinse and set aside. melt 2tsp butter in a small bowl, add 1/4 cup brown sugar to butter and mix. oh yeah, also you need a mug. get a mug and put some diced apple in the mug. sprinkle some of that brown sugar goodness on top. put more apple on top and add more of that brown sugar stuff. layer to your heart's content. put the rest of that brown sugar and butter stuff on top. microwave that fucker until the apples are soft. (about 2 1/2 minutes) after the microwave does it's thing, take the mug out and stir it a bit. should look like soup. I'll be honest, layering the brown sugar and apples probably didn't do jack shit. I just like to think it did. anyway, pour the 1/8 cup of milk in and add the cinnamon. stir. congrats, you have just made one serving of apple pie soup. now sit back and enjoy it if you want to make it extra hype after step 6, put the cream cheese in the same bowl that had the sugar. while the thing is in the microwave, stir and fold the cream cheese. doing this makes the cheese less thick and it'll mix easier when you add it to the apple soup. highly recommend the cheese, as it makes it creamy as fuck as well as cools the soup down just enough to eat it right away and still make you have warm in your tummy.

if you're lactose intolerant, i'm sure you can use soy milk. I've never tried it because my bloodline isn't weak enough to warrant a milk substitute. enjoy!

bon appetit
