Valentine's Day Chocolate Bark

Valentine's Day Chocolate Bark

Valentine's Day Chocolate Bark with endless options for toppings.

Ingredients

  • 5.5 ounces good quality Bittersweet Chocolate
  • 5.5 ounces good quality Semi-sweet Chocolate

Toppings

  • 3.5 tablespoons candied orange rind
  • 4 ounces dried cherries
  • Nonpareils

Instructions

  • In the bowl of a bain marie or double boiler (if using double boiler, keep water below the bottom of the bowl so that it is not touching), bring water to a simmer.
  • Add chocolate and melt slowly, stiring
  • Line the bottom of an 8 x 8 pan with parchment paper and lightly butter the sides.
  • Pour chocolate over and sprinkle toppings on top.
  • Let sit at room temperature for 2 hours.
  • After 1 hour 45 minutes, test to see if it is set up.
  • If so, cut with cookie cutters.
  • If the chocolate is too hard to cut, heat cutter slightly by placing it (cutting side down) on a skillet over low heat. This will warm it just enough to cut through the set chocolate.
