Recipe for Bacon-Salami-Caramelized Onion Omelette (The yummiest omelette you may ever try)

This is probably the tastiest meal I've ever came up with. The combination of the caramelized onions and bacon is to die for.

Ingredients:

3-4 eggs extra large eggs (i used 3)

3 slices bacon (i used maple bacon)

~35g salami

1/2 onion (regular yellow onion)

3 slices (3/4 cm thick) cheddar cheese (i used extra old cheddar) use more if you like extra cheesy

3 tbsp heavy/whipping cream (optional)

Butter

sprinkle pepper

no salt - saltiness from bacon is enough

Instructions:

Cut the onion up, don't cut it too thin or it will fry faster than the bacon. Fry the diced onion with the bacon (don't cut up the bacon). This will impart bacon flavor into the onion, and onion flavor into the bacon, and also take away from some of the saltiness of the bacon as it will absorb into the onion.

Don't worry about keeping the strips of bacon flat on the frying pan, stir occasionally together with the onion. Some of the bacon will end up crispy and some of it will be tender. Once some parts of the bacon is crisp and the onion is brown and caramelized, set aside.

Cut the bacon up into 1/2 cm pieces. Also cut the salami up into tiny shreds (as tiny as you can get it). Salami has a hard texture so the smallest you can cut it, the less dense and more fluffy of a texture it will have.

Start cooking the omelette: Get the frying pan going, throw some butter on there. Whip 3-4 eggs with heavy cream(optional). Pour onto frying pan. Sprinkle pepper over entire thing. Sprinkle all other ingredients onto one half of the omelette. Once egg is firm and has been cooked thoroughly so there's no uncooked egg on top, proceed to fold and form the omelette. Keep cooking it until the bottom is brown and crispy (careful not to burn, keep checking it). Slide off the pan onto your plate. Enjoy

bon appetit
