I finally think I finished the recipe for my champagne cocktail - the "Double Entendre". Enjoy, share. =)

Uncle Fishbits' Double Entendre

(because we enjoy our drinks as we enjoy our entendres…. double)

Ingredients:

2 oz Yeasty Champagne (a Prosecco or Cava may be too light),

1.5 oz preferred Vodka (Stoli Black/Gold recommended),

1.5 oz preferred Gin (Icelandic Vor, St. George Terroir, a botanical malacca or something akin to Old Val’s recommended),

1/2 oz (squeeze) of lemon juice,

1/2 – 1 oz St. Germain Elderflower Liquor,

1 Lemon twist

Preparation:

Combine vodka, gin, St. Germain, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

Shake vigorously and strain into an iced coupe glass, or chamapgne flute. It’s possible a larger glass will be needed, like a pilsner glass. Or, secretly sip a bit of the shaken ambrosia.

Top up with Champagne. Stir gently. Garnish with twist.

Drinkware: Champagne flute is okay, but prefer a coupe glass for presentation.

bon appetit
