I'm not sure whether requests are allowed here, but I couldnt find a sub for them either.
Does anyone have any recipes for xmas pudding? I'm not even sure if this is a thing outside of the UK/Ireland as I couldn't even find a pudding basin (with lid) in Toronto and staff seemed fairly perplexed when I tried to explain what it was for! I've heard it go by 'plum pudding' and 'plum duff' too... although it doesn't actually have plums in it (go figure)
I have a family recipe but would like to compare with others. Particularly as this one needs to be steamed for 3.5 hours, stored and then steamed for another 3.5! I'd like to know more about the benefits/need to steam for such long stints and also of the storage factor.
