Ingredients of Chingri Macher Malaikari:

Prawn / Shrimp / Chingri Mach (100 gms).

Coconut milk (1 cup).

Cumin and Mustard Paste (1 tsp + 1 tsp).
-
Turmeric powder (½ tsp).
-
Salt (as per your taste).
-
Sugar (1 tsp).
-
Slitted green chilli (7-10 no).
-
Mustard oil (3tbsp)
-
Cumin Seeds (1tsp)
How to Make Chingri Macher Malaikari:

Heat the pan and add mustard oil in it. Add 1 tsp of cumin seeds and fry it.

Add prawns, ½ tsp turmeric powder and salt then fry them on medium flame.

Lower the flame, Add 1 tsp of mustard oil then add the cumin-mustard paste (masala) and saute them till the raw smell of masala is gone.

Add Slit green chillies (7-10) according to your choice of spiciness.

Fry for 1 to 2 mins in medium flame.

Add 1 cup of coconut milk and bring it to boil till the curry slightly thickens.

Add a pinch of turmeric powder and 1 tsp of sugar to give a nice rich taste.

After 5 mins taste it and add salt to taste.

Serve hot Chingri Malaikari with hot steamed rice or roti.
