Dinner in 22 mins. - Sweet, Spicey, & Everything Nicey Peppers & Sausage

I was planning on making chicken enchilada stuffed bell peppers, but we started getting tired of eating rice this week. So I threw this together and it turned out to be super easy and super delicious! I couldn’t not share this with you guys. It’s so easy to make and so, so tasty!

This recipe is flavourful turkey sausage and bell peppers served over sweet corn bread. It has a nice after taste of spicy heat and the sweet cornbread cuts right through it. It’s a very filling meal and takes a really short time to cook. In the picture you can see I didn’t use yellow peppers, however, I think combining both a red and yellow pepper will cut down on the mild bitterness of the dish and compliment the sweet cornbread.

Prep Time: 5 Mins. | Cooking Time: 17 mins.

You will need:

Smoked Turkey Sausage

1 large red bell pepper

1 large yellow bell pepper

1/3 tsp. pepper

1/2 tsp. salt

1/3 tsp. red pepper flakes

1/2 tsp. onion powder

1/3 tsp. ground cayenne pepper

1/2 tablespoon butter

1 chicken bullion cube

Fresh cilantro

1/2 cup chicken broth

1 box Jiffy corn muffin mix

1 can of sweet white corn

Shredded mozzarella cheese

1 egg

1/3 cup milk
