When growing up, there was a KFC nearby that had AMAZING bread pudding on their buffet. The owner of a few KFCs in the area had altered the recipe in his own specific way because after he moved on, it changed and was only good, not amazing. I want to recreate this delight, but I am very basic in the kitchen so I am willing to experiment, but I need a starting point and a few tips.
It's been a long time, but as far as I can remember this is how that particular bread pudding was. The bread pudding there was consistent throughout. No lumps. Just smooth and sugary. I'm pretty sure it was made using their day or so old biscuits. Also, being from Georgia, there were definitely peaches in it, but fruit chunks were rare, if present at all. So I want a sweet and smooth bread pudding that preferably uses peaches.
There's lots of bread pudding recipes out there and I'm just trying to find a jumping off point to get something close to what I've described. So anything similar that I can try and then tweak would be a great help.
Thanks!
