Background Info:
I'm 17 years old. My diet has been shitty for the past four years but it got worse in the 5 months. I grew up on rice and spaghetti and cereal. I eat cereal for breakfast and dinner most of the time. For lunch I just eat food from school. For the past 5 months or so I've been eating like 1 or 2 meals a day and its mostly just cereal or rice. I'm so sick and tired of this. I have no energy anymore and its seriously starting to affect my education and mental health in general. I have lost friends because of this. My family is unsupportive when I say I want a good diet but I finally convinced my mom to teach me how to cook some meals. That's where I need your help, reddit!
What do I want from this diet?
I want to learn 5 breakfast, lunch, and dinner recipes (15 total) for now. I want to eat these same 15 meals for the next 5 months until I get used to this HUGE lifestyle change and making these meals becomes easy.
- Low sugar/low carb
- Low sodium (my blood pressure is high; doc says its because of my diet)
- Most nutrition possible.
- Easy/fast to make
- Low calorie (1800/Day)
- Kosher
Please, give me any other nutrition advice as well! I would GREATLY appreciate it.
