At 99¢ a pound, they have been giving the stuff away lately - so I keep buying it. It's already fully cooked too!
I usually heat it up in the oven and hack away at it awkwardly for a ham/veggie/starch dinner. Then there is a ton of leftover ham. I've diced it up and made omelettes and casseroles. I've thrown the (lots of meat left) bone in with some beans in the crockpot... I'm running out of ideas. Do you fine folks have any?
Also I could get the "rump portion" for just a bit more (1.19/lb) would that be worth it? I know the shank portion is very fatty, and I end up chucking out a good bit.
