The Perfect Garlic Bread

Ever since I can remember I've loved garlic bread - it seems like there is nothing in the world as delicious and as simple. If I was given Garlic Bread to eat for every meal for the rest of my life, I would definitely die happy.

Over the years, I've seen Garlic Bread being made in all sorts of ways - using butter and oils - cooking the garlic - using a brush the add on addition butter or oil. And I've come to know that these are all great ideas but you don't always get that amazing garlic bread taste you want. I've tried a few combinations, and found that this is definitely the most delicious.

Some Facts: The Garlic Bread we know today is more of an American tradition, however it can be said that the Mediterranean people were the creators of the concept. They were known for dipping foods into hot seasoned oils especially oils that contained garlic.

Ingredients: Italian Bread (NOT SLICED) Olive Oil Garlic Butter Oregano Salt

Quantity: 2-3 Loafs of Italian Bread 10-15 Tablespoons of Olive Oil 10-15 Cloves of Garlic (Depends on taste and quantity of bread ) 3 - 5 Tablespoons of Butter 2-3 Tablespoons of Oregano (to taste) Salt to Taste

I do not count calories or serving sizes. I eat because it enjoy it and I cook because I love it. Total Time to prep and cook: 30-45 Minutes

Directions: 1. Preheat the toaster or oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Take one piece of bread and cut it horizontally. 2. Take a cooking brush and as evenly as possible - spread the oil inside, onto both sides of the bread for that great taste. 3. Dice the garlic - Which should be evenly distributed onto the inside of the bread, again onto both sides of the bread. 4. Place the bread in to an aluminum foil sheet. 5. Place the bread into the oven for 8-10 Minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. This is just to cook the oil and stick the garlic into place. 6. Remove the Bread from the oven and place 1 teaspoon of butter onto the bread - the butter should be spaced out evenly so you get that butter taste with each bite. Then season with oregano. 7. Place the Bread back into the aluminum foil and then back into the oven for another 10-15 minutes or until the bread it golden-brown on the outside. 8. Once the bread is cooked - remove from oven and open the aluminum foil, let it stand for 2-3 minutes so it can cool down a little. Now cut the bread into even vertical pieces.

You are now ready to serve your Garlic Bread. Buon Appetito
