Ingredients

300 g firm tofu

100 g ground chicken

green onions, minced

30 g carrot, minced

1 shiitake mushroom, minced

1 tsp potato starch

1 tsp sake
-
1 tsp salt

(sauce)
-
1 tbsp soy sauce
-
1 tbsp sake
-
1 tbsp water
-
1 tbsp sugar
-
1 clove garlic
Let's get Cooking...

Drain tofu of excess water by wrapping and setting them aside in paper towels (about 30 minutes)

In a bowl, combine ground chicken, green onions, carrots, shiitake mushroom, potato starch, sake and salt and mix well. Divide into 6 portions.

Cut tofu into 12 equal blocks. Place the ground chicken mixture onto six of the tofu blocks and top them off with the other six.

Coat tofu sandwiches with potato starch. Heat some oil in a frying pan and cook the tofu sandwiches on all sides.

Cover and steam for 2 minutes.

Once chicken mixture is cooked through, pour in ingredients for the sauce. Cook until sauce is slightly thickened.
- Serve with perilla leaves and your favorite vegetables.
