How to make Burning Love

No this is not a post that was meant for r/relationships, this is a recipe for a Danish dish called "brændende kærlighed" which directly translated means "burning love". It's very cheap and easy to make so I thought I would share it with you ! (It's basically mashed potatoes with bacon sprinkled on top, but with a few delicious twists)

What you will need: 600 g bacon (choose a nice lightly smoked one and either buy it pree cubed or cut it yourself)

400 g onion

Fresh parsley

1kg potatoes 2.5 dl of full milk 25 g butter for the potatoes and 15 g for the onions.

Peel the potatoes (or don't, if you are that kind of person) and cut them into pieces so that they will be boiled quicker. When they are nice and soft, pour out the water, take off the lid and let the worst part of the steam leave the pot. Shake it a few times so that the pieces on the bottom will also go up. But the milk and butter in a bowl and heat it up in the microwave for 30 seconds or a minute to let it heat up a little. Pour it into the potatoes and mix it. Ad salt and pepper to taste.

Meanwhile the bacon should be roasting nicely until it's golden, delicious and crunchy. Take some bacon fat and butter put it into a skillet and let it heat up slowly. The onions that have been chopped to nice slices will get almost caramelised in the butter bacon fat mixture if you cook them nice and slow.

Finally you have to chop the parsley and prepare the dish for serving by taking a dish, put on mashed potatoes, then caramelised onions, then bacon and top it off with parsley.

tl/dr

Boil potatoes Fry bacon Chop into slices and caramelise them in bacon fat and butter Make mashed potatoes Chop parsley Make dish Eat And let your tummy be filled with burning love.

Should end up looking something like the link provided

bon appetit
