This French toast recipe is an easy one and a little healthier maybe than something you are use to. Takes 5 minutes prep and 5 minutes to cook.
Ingredients : 2 slices bread (Ezekuel or whole wheat works best. I've used sourdough and they can fall apart before cooking if too wet) 1/4 tsp vanilla extract 2 whole eggs 1/4 cup of milk 1/4-1/2 tbsp cinnamon 1.5 teaspoons brown sugar Butter (for pan)
Mix all wet ingredients together in a bowl then place bread into bowl, flipping over until soaked. Use butter or cooking spray on pan and place bread into pan, flipping until each side is golden to dark brown.
Once finished, garnish with Maple Agave Nectar (this is super sweet and a lower glycemic option than maple syrup) you hardly have to use any nectar at all, just a drizzle over the top. You can also use powdered sugar if you like!
