I recently discovered how well crisply cooked bratwurst and pickles go together. Are there any recipes that do more with this flavor pairing of greasy and crisp with acidic?

My favorite food recently has been a brot, cut in half and browned thoroughly on the inside and out, which I then use to sandwich a sliced pickle. I can't get enough of how well the flavors go together, anyone have more recipes that use this sort of pairing?
