I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but have any of you made long-lasting dough ornaments?
I want to make Christmas gifts this year that look like sugar cookies with royal icing, but obviously real cookie dough isn't the way to go. I will most likely use a salt dough recipe for the cookies, but does anyone know how long this lasts? Also, if anyone has any suggestions on what to use for "icing", I would welcome ideas. I'm considering a product called moulding gel that I read about, but I'm not sure.
