Baked Apple French Toast

Ingredients:

-1 cup brown sugar (packed)
-1/2 cup butter
-2 tart apples (peeled & sliced)
-1 loaf French bread
-5 eggs
-1 1/2 cups milk
-2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Cook brown sugar and butter until syrupy. Pour into 9x13. Layer apple slices over syrup. Slice bread 1/2-3/4in. thick and lay over apple slices. Beat rest of ingredients together and pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate (Overnight is best). Bake uncovered in 350F. preheated over for 35-45min.
