IPA Tacos

So I made this last night and it was amazing. Thought I would jot it down and share it while it's fresh in my mind as it was basically done as an experiment. I like to experiment.

Ingredients

1 lb of ground meat of your preference (beef, turkey, pork etc)

1 red pepper diced

3 cloves of garlic minced

1/4 an onion minced (or 1 tablespoon of onion powder) optional

2 tablespoons of kikkoman red chili ponzu sauce

1 tablespoon black pepper

2 canned chilies diced or 1 can of diced chilies

1 can of sliced black olives

1 12 oz can of Founders all day IPA (or your favorite IPA, The hoppier the better)

1 tablespoon cayenne pepper

1 tablespoon chipotle powder

1 tablespoon lime juice

2 tablespoons ground cumin

Directions

Step 1: Brown the meat in a pan then drain. I used a George foreman grill to brown the meat. it drains as it cooks. So if you have one this method is preferable but just make sure you spray it with cooking oil beforehand.

Step 2: add all ingredients to a large skillet with the browned and drained meat

Step 3: Cover and cook on low stirring occasionally for about 30 mins.

Step 4: Uncover and cook on high stirring every couple minutes until the liquid boils down to nothing.

Step 5: Serve with your favorite taco toppings in a soft or crunchy shell and enjoy.

Note

Don't forget to microwave your taco shell for 30 seconds if you're using a crunchy shell. Gives it a nice crunch.

bon appetit
