Natukodi Pulusu (Country Chicken Curry) Andhra Style

Ingredients

500 grams of country chicken

1 tsp of turmeric powder

½ tsp of red chilli powder

3/4th tsp of lime juice

½ tsp of salt

3/4th tsp of coriander seeds

4 green cardamom

3 cloves

1 tsp of sesame seeds

2 red chillies

½ cup of coconut powder

2 chopped green chillies

3 sticks of curry leaves

1 medium sized chopped onion

1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste

1 tsp of red chilli powder

½ tsp of turmeric powder

1/4th tsp of coriander powder

½ tsp of garam masala powder

4 tbsp of oil

Salt as per taste

Take 500 grams of country chicken and add 1 tsp of turmeric powder, ½ tsp of red chilli powder, 3/4th tsp of lime juice and ½ tsp of salt and then mix it well. Keep the bowl aside.

Take a pressure cooker and add 3 tbsp of oil and then add the chicken to the pressure cooker and then close the lid and let it cook for 4 whistles

Then take a grinder jar and add 3/4th tsp of coriander seeds, 4 green cardamom, 3 cloves, 1 tsp of sesame seeds, 2 red chillies, ½ cup of coconut powder and then grind this into affine powder and keep aside. Take a pan and add 1 tbsp of oil and to that add 2 chopped green chillies, 3 sticks of curry leaves, 1 medium sized chopped onion. Mix it well and fry for 3 minutes. Then add 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste and fry it until the raw smell of the ginger garlic paste goes away. Then add 1 tsp of red chilli powder, ½ tsp of turmeric powder, 1/4th tsp of coriander powder. Mix this well and then fry for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes, here you can add then add the chicken and then let it cook for 4 minutes. Then add the ground spices and let it cook for 3 minutes. Then add 1 cup of water or more depending on the the gravy required. Cover it with a lid and let it cook for 6 minutes. Then add ½ tsp of garam masala powder and the salt as per taste and then mix it and let it cook for 5 minutes on low flame. Lastly add the coriander leaves to garnish it.
