Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken (approx. 3 lbs)
- 1 can of dark beer
- 1 tbsp pink himalayan salt
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Combine salt, baking powder, black pepper, and smoked paprika in a small bowl and mix well.
- Cover the chicken in the dry rub mix, inside and out. Don’t forget to get some under the skin, too!
- Pour out (or drink) half of the beer, and place it on baking pan.
- Set the chicken on the beer can, inserting it into the cavity of the chicken.
- Bake for about 1 hour 15 minutes, or until chicken reaches a temperature of 165°F.
- Allow chicken to cool, and carefully remove from the beer can. Careful to not spill the beer!
- Pour out the beer. Eat delicious chicken.
