Amish/Mennonite Funny Cake Recipe

Nana Gross' Funny Cake Cake Mixture: *1 c sugar

*1/4 c oil

*1 egg

*1 c flour

*1 tsp baking powder

*1/2 tsp salt

*1/2 c milk

*1/2 tsp vanilla

*1 pie crust

Syrup: *1/2 c sugar

*1/2 c cocoa

*1/2 hot water

*1/2 tsp vanilla

Syrup: Mix all together and set aside Cake Mixture: Cream together sugar, oil, and egg. Sift Flour, baking power, salt together. Add alternatively with milk and vanilla to creamed mixture. Pour into 1 (9 inch) unbacked crust. Pour syrup on top. Make 350 for 60 minutes.
