Stuffed Grey Squash. Recipe

  • Grey squash - 0,25 kilogram
  • Ground meat - 0,25 kilogram
  • Onion - 2 little ones
  • Carrot - 1 medium
  • Bell Pepper - a few slices
  • Garlic - 2-3 cloves
  • Cheese - 20-30 gm
  • Sour cream - 40 gm
  • Salt. Pepper. Oil

Directions are Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0AMNaObPBI

  • Take 1 onion of 2 and shred or nicely chop it. We will have to mix it with ground meat, salt and pepper. Take it aside for a while.

  • Cut squash into rounds. (depends on how many portions you wish to have) and with a help of knife separate inside part of squash and take it out. We will be using just outside rounds of squash for this meal. Inside ones I will be using in my next recipe for the minestrone soup.

  • Shred carrots and chop bell peppers with the rest of onion and fry it in a frying pan with a little bit of oil for 10-15 minutes at a medium heat.

  • Boil the water in a pot. When it boils, turn the heat on low and place outside squash rounds into it. Let it cook for 3 minutes. (use just water, no salt etc.)

  • Shred cheese.

  • When vegetables are ready, transfer them into the bowl. Then take squash out and let it cool down before stuffing.

  • Mix sour cream with squeezed garlic. That is our sauce.

  • Cover a baking dish with the foil and place squash rounds on it when they are cold. Start stuffing them with meat and vegetables and so until a squash is full. Grease the top of squash with a sauce and them place cheese on top.

  • Bake it for 30-40 minutes at 180C.

bon appetit
