I'm trying to come up with a subtle flavoring for beef stroganoff, and I want it to be a little different from the sauces I usually make.
These sauces usually start with a fond from browning beef, roux, and beef stock.
Right now, my most common are: * Mushrooms, tarragon, and butter for steaks/roast beef. * Allspice, nutmeg, and greek yogurt for Swedish Meatballs.
Any ideas/suggestions for beef stroganoff?
