Matcha Tan Fresco (Green Tea Cocktail with Mint & Cucumber)

The words tan fresco translate literally in Spanish to "so cool" :)

What You'll Need:

  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups filtered water
  • 2-3 oz of gin
  • 2 teaspoons of matcha green tea powder
  • Cucumber, 10 or more thin slices
  • Mint leaves, small handful
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  • In two cocktail glasses, muddle together the cucumber slices and a small handful of mint leaves with a wooden spoon.
  • Fill the rest of the glasses with ice cubes
  • In a cocktail shaker (or a large Mason jar with a lid), vigorously shake together the water, gin, matcha, your choice of sweetener and an ice cube until there are no clumps. (note: we made ours with approx. 1/2 oz. of organic cane syrup).
  • Pour the shaker's contents in to the cocktail glasses and garnish with a mint leaf.
  • Kanpai! (^-^)_日

Note: This recipe is highly modifiable to your preferences for flavor and alcohol content, so don't hesitate to experiment with more/less of any ingredient, or swap out gin for vodka, etc. Oh, and drink responsibly!
