Broccoli Beef

When you are looking for a weeknight meal that does not need a lot of effort, can be made quickly with few cooking steps, however provides a tasty result, then this is a meal you should definitely try. This is a really simple and easy to cook Chinese style beef and broccoli meal. The beef and broccoli are the key ingredients. Cooked in a beef and soy sauce with a mild hint of spice from added chilli flakes and you have a very satisfying take away style meal in next to no time. Serve with rice to soak up the sauce for a great wok stir-fry meal.

Ingredients:
• Olive Oil
• 500 g Beef Strips
• 3 cups Broccoli Florets
• 2 cloves Garlic crushed
• 1 cup Beef Stock use stock cube
• 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
• 1 tsp Brown Sugar
• 1 tsp Sesame Oil
• 1 tbsp Corn Flour
• 1/4 tsp Chilli Flakes
• Pepper to season
• Jasmine Rice to serve

Instructions:
1. In a small bowl, add beef stock, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil and cornstarch. Stir to fully combine and set aside.
2. Add olive oil to a wok on high heat.
3. Add beef and cook until browned. Remove from wok & set aside.
4. Add extra oil, if required, and add broccoli to the wok. Cook until tender but still crisp.
5. Add garlic and cook for about 45 seconds.
6. Add beef and stock mixture to wok and cook for about 2 minutes to allow sauce to thicken slightly
7. Serve with Jasmine rice.
