This is my in-laws' chocolate sauce recipe. It's very thin and should be served hot. On vanilla ice cream it's fantastic- the combination of hot and cold is sublime. The sauce melts the ice cream a bit and when you're almost done you end up with a runny chocolate/vanilla soup. Yum!
Recipe:
In a small saucepan, combine:
-4 tb butter
-4 tb cocoa
-1/2 cup boiling water
-one cup sugar
Melt the butter with the cocoa and add the rest of the ingredients. Bring to a boil while stirring and serve on vanilla ice cream.
