In Search of A Recipe: Orange Chicken Sauce Using Juiced Mandarin Oranges

Anybody made their own sauce using this method? Almost all online recipes mention the use of canned oranges. Would love some guidance for the general cooking process if I were to use the juice from fresh mandarin oranges
