Hi everyone,
My grandmother has wonderful pie filling recipes, they are PERFECT! Best part of the recipes? She is still alive to share them with me, well ever since I have been a little kid, she has always bought store bought crust. Now as an adult, I make pies as my go-to, but I feel like a fraud because I tell people its homemade but the crust is actually store bought.
I decided to embark on a journey to make a great pie crust, but unfortunately I don't know all of the secrets, I have found 3 recipes that I really want to try, and I have read about water/vodka, butter/shortening, and the fact that butter chunks makes it flaky. But I was wondering if anyone had any other tips and tricks for baking a pie crust to help a sister out!
bon appetit
