I was thinking of having a dinner party this weekend, but the size ballooned from ~8 people to ~12 people (mostly because a ton of friends are passing through the neighbourhood).
My initial plan was:

(vegan) ice cream
Though now I think I might benefit from having additional side dishes since there are so many people. I just don't have a good sense of what would fit together do -- potatoes? Bruschetta? Roasted veggies?
I also have friends coming who are vegan, gluten-free, and allergic to onion/garlic... so while I expect it to be hard to hit all of these restrictions, it would be nice to get a couple.
