There are many wonderful Chinese dishes you can use as a starter or even a meal by itself. This sesame chicken would be very high on that kind of meal.
Ingredients

1/3 cup flour

1/2 tsp. onion powder

1/4 tsp. pepper

1/4 tsp. sechuan pepper

2 lb chicken breasts/thighs cut into pieces

2 Tbsp. olive oil

2 large garlic cloves, grated
-
1-inch fresh ginger, grated
-
1/4 cup honey
-
1 tsp. rice vinegar
-
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
-
1 Tbsp. sesame seeds
Directions
Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil over medium heat.
Combine flour, red pepper, cloves and onion powder in a large plastic bag and shake, then add chicken pieces and coat everything well.
Brown chicken, about 2 minutes per side.
Combine honey, rice vinegar and soy sauce in a small dish. Grate or mince garlic cloves, ginger and place in dish with honey, soy sauce and mix well.
Add sauce mix and reduce heat to low. Allow to heat for about 10 minutes, flipping once.
After 10 minutes, turn stove top off and allow chicken to sit for about 10 minutes.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Serve with rice.
