Serves 6
1 pound (~500 gram) lentils (white or green) 2 bags of brown rice 5 tablespoons raisins 5 bananas 6 tablespoons tomato paste 1 liter chicken bouillon 1 tablespoon black pepper 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon cumin 2 teaspoons sweet paprika 2 teaspoons curcuma 2 tablespoon cayenne pepper 5 onions 5-10 cloves of garlic Olive oil 1 pound (~500g) yogurt 300ml milk Curry
- Cut onions and garlic, heat the oil, put the onions first, then the garlic into the oil, eventually deglaze it with the chicken bouillon.
- Add tomato paste and spices and lentils, let it cook for around 45 min
- Add yogurt, milk, raisins and sliced bananas for a couple of minutes Serve with the brown rice (You won't need much of the rice because of the lentils; but it tastes good with it.)
As for the curry: you can take the ones you like. Personally, I take a normal yellow curry you can find in every supermarket, a hot red curry and an extremely hot curry mix I always order online. Depends on your liking! The hotter you make the food, the more necessary the rice, of course. The idea, just like with a chili, is that everyone adds rice until it has the kind of "hotness" / pepperiness they personally like.
bon appetit
