My boyfriend is from Connecticut and have been feeling homesick lately. We moved cross country. I want to be romantic and try to make his favorite dishes from home..
There are two dishes from an Italian restaurant that he loves:
Cavatelli alla Nino
Chicken, hot peppers, broccoli rabe, garlic and extra virgin olive oil
Sausage Cavatelli alla Nino
Sausage, hot peppers, broccoli rabe, garlic and extra virgin olive oil

So I am pretty new to the kitchen (I lived off the dining hall at college.. and before we moved in together I mostly ate out/take out).. and I am starting to learn how to cook... I can usually follow recipes (I'm a scientist as a profession!). So I am wondering, can someone help me put together a recipe to replicate this to surprise my boyfriend? I think it would be simple, but I am unsure... but I don't know where to start.
