Any way to make plain greek yogurt edible/delicious when used as a swap for something else? (Greek yogurt customization?)

I see people using plain greek yogurt as a healthier alternative to things like sour cream, butter and oil, cheese, etc.

It always looks good, but the problem is...I cant stomach plain yogurt. I just always get a rancid aftertaste. I think putting greek yogurt on my chili rather than sour cream would ruin it...

So for those who use it as a substitute, do you add anything to it that makes it no longer taste like plain yogurt, or do you eat it with total denial about how sad and disappointing life has become without cheese and cream?

I can handle it in small doses IF Ive drowned it with fresh fruit, but Im more interested in adding it to my dinners.
