I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but i really want to know if there's a good alternative/substitute to shrimp/fish paste when making yellow curry since most yellow curry paste recipies i found online include shrimp or fish paste. The thing is that i live with my parents and my mom doesn't like the smell of seafood in the home. bonus if this substitute has no msg so if my mom wanted to try the curry, she won't get a headache from it.
