Apple and Cream Cheese Dessert

  • Crust
  • 30 Crisp Oatmeal Cookies (small)
  • 3 Tbsp Butter (melted)

  • Cream Cheese Filling

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened)

  • 2 Tbsp Sugar

  • 4 Cups Whipped Topping

  • Apple Pie Topping

  • 6 Medium Granny Smith Apples

  • 3 Tbsp Butter

  • ¼ C Sugar

  • ¼ C Water

  • ½ C Brown Sugar

  • 2 tsp Cinnamon

  • 2 Tbsp Cornstarch

  • Directions:

  • Crust

  • Count out 30 Oatmeal cookies and blend them in a blender or food processor until they are crumbs

  • Put cookie crumbs into bowl and add butter. Mix thoroughly until it looks like wet sand

  • Add cookie mixture to a 9 ½ by 13” pan and press into the bottom of the pan to create crust

  • Cream Cheese Filling

  • In a large bowl using a mixer combine softened cream cheese, sugar, and whipped topping

  • Once combined spread topping on top of cookie crust

  • Place in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes

  • Apple Pie Topping

  • Peel and core six medium granny smith apples

  • Cut and chop apples into 1 inch cubes

  • In a large sauce pan place cubed apples, butter, sugar, water, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cornstarch

  • Stir everything together

  • Turn heat on med/low

  • Cook Apples until soft

  • This will take 30 to 40 minutes. Stir occasionally

  • Once apples are cooked through let them cool completely

  • Place on top of cream cheese layer

  • Refrigerate for 30 minutes and enjoy
