Porter Pork Ramen

Porter Pork Ramen

This recipe is pretty loose, since I basically improvise everything I make, but it's really good.

Porter pork ramen

ingredients

  • 1 bottle of porter, divided
  • 1 pound pork loin, cubed
  • 2 tbsp sesame seed
  • 2 tbsp molasses
  • 1 packet pork flavored ramen
  • Pepper and garlic powder to taste

preparation

  • Mix half the beer with some pepper, garlic, and the sesame seed. Soak the pork in this.
  • Prepare the ramen as per usual, then turn the heat to low.
  • Heat some oil in a frying pan, then fry the soaked pork in it. Remove the cooked pork into the ramen, and boil it covered.
  • Mix the rest of the beer with the molasses and some pepper and garlic. Deglaze the frying pan with this and reduce to a thick sauce.
  • Strain the juice from the ramen, then mix the sauce with it.

Enjoy!

This serves 2-3 depending on portion sizes, but if you're like me, it only serves one ;D

bon appetit
