This recipe is pretty loose, since I basically improvise everything I make, but it's really good.
Porter pork ramen
ingredients
- 1 bottle of porter, divided
- 1 pound pork loin, cubed
- 2 tbsp sesame seed
- 2 tbsp molasses
- 1 packet pork flavored ramen
- Pepper and garlic powder to taste
preparation
- Mix half the beer with some pepper, garlic, and the sesame seed. Soak the pork in this.
- Prepare the ramen as per usual, then turn the heat to low.
- Heat some oil in a frying pan, then fry the soaked pork in it. Remove the cooked pork into the ramen, and boil it covered.
- Mix the rest of the beer with the molasses and some pepper and garlic. Deglaze the frying pan with this and reduce to a thick sauce.
- Strain the juice from the ramen, then mix the sauce with it.
Enjoy!
This serves 2-3 depending on portion sizes, but if you're like me, it only serves one ;D
bon appetit
