[Request] Maitake/Hen-of-the-woods Mushroom recipes?

I recently came across a 3 lb wild maitake mushroom near my home, and after several hours of taking it apart and cleaning it I have several frozen bags of mushroom petals, and one bag of stem chunks (possibly for stock.) Because it isn't farm grown, I can't do recipes requiring a whole maitake mushroom such as direct grilling, because mine is already thoroughly disassembled.

I've already tried sauteing the petals in butter as most people recommend, and I can see why that's the most commonly suggested method, it's absolutely delicious. But considering that I have most of the mushroom left to eat, I'd rather vary it up rather than just use it in the same preparation over and over again.

So, does anyone have recipes/ideas for using wild maitakes? I'm especially interested in soups, gravies/sauces, and pasta dishes, but I'm really open to any suggestions.

bon appetit
