My husband grew up eating this dish, and I've had it a few times since we've been together. My problem is getting the right curry powder for it. It's rice, with sliced bacon and onion, topped with an egg. I can find the sambal oelek easily enough, but the curry has me stumped. He calls it 'curry jawa', and whenever we're shopping for it, none of the clerks know what he's referring to. Is there anyone who knows this dish, and knows of what other names the curry powder might be called?
