My hubby loves limbuger, me not so much. Well not at all really.
Anyway, i purchased a brick of limburger for him last week and the cheese monger (a lovely german lady) said her mom used to make a dish for her dad with this cheese and its the only way she would ever eat limburger.
She couldn't remember all the ingredients but said it started with boiled new potatoes that were sliced and browned with some spice, she thought rosemary? Then the limburger was added to the potatoes but as it has neen many uears she didnt know if you mixed in and let the cheese melt in the dish or just sprinkled bits of cheese on the potatoes.
So i have what i 'think' is a good recipe but with her fuzzy memories i am afraid it sounds too simple and feel like sonething critical is missing.
Anyone have a similar recipe they can share? I want to make this for my husband this weekend!
