Sorry, I don't know what the name of the food was, but basically, it was a ground meat, usually beef or pork, wrapped in an almost sweet dough. It was then fried, salted, and served with sour cream I think.
He use to call them (I don't know if I am spelling it right) pedahia (ped-uh-hee-uh), but google turns up nothing.
