I needed to make a mushroom sauce and didn't have access to the internet at the time, so I made this sauce going only by my instincts. It turned out unexpectedly great! People were fighting over the last bit of sauce.
250gr mushrooms (1 punnet)
250ml cream
1 packet of "Cream of Mushroom" soup powder
Chopped garlic and pepper to taste
- Chop the mushrooms and fry up in a bit of oil. When the mushrooms are almost cooked, add some chopped garlic to taste and fry for a minute or so.
- Add the cream to the pan and season with pepper. Don't add salt, because the soup powder will make the sauce salty.
- Sprinkle about a heaped tablespoon of the soup powder into the sauce and mix well. Let the sauce thicken. If you want it thicker, add more soup powder. If you want it thinner, add some milk.
Super easy and you can get fancy with different types of mushrooms!
