Would like some help making this recipe less likely to give me a heart attack!

Hey r/recipes, above is the link to a recipe that I found that I want to make my parents when they visit. Im studying abroad in Ireland and they're visiting very close to their birthdays so I wanted to make them a cake. They love orange chocolate, and the Guinness will be a nice Irish touch, so its perfect!

The problem I have is that it requires 8oz of butter for the cake and another 8oz for the frosting(which is 4 sticks total unless my conversion is incorrect). I was wondering if y'all had any ideas for how to lighten it up at least a little bit. Thanks for any help!
