So I was fooling around in the kitchen today and an interesting idea struck me. Here it is:
Materials: - Chicken breast (sliced thin) - Red / yellow / green peppers - Onion - Hot peppers (optional but recommended) - Honey - Salt - Black pepper - Paprika - Toothpicks (absolute must!)
Cut onion and peppers into long, thin slices. Sear in a hot pan with a dab of oil or butter and half a teaspoon of honey for no more than a minute or two.
Take some of the stir-fry and place it at the edge of one of the chicken breast slices, then roll it all up into a little taquito. Use a toothpick to keep it shut - make sure it sticks out of both ends. Repeat this process with more chicken breast slices until all the vegetables are gone.
Drizzle some honey on the chicken rolls, season with salt, black pepper, paprika, or any other spice combination you choose. The goal here is to create a contrast between the sweetness of the honey and the slight saltiness of the spices so be creative!
Gently place them on frying pan with a spot more oil or butter and sear both sides to a darkish golden brown, then take them out and put them in the oven on a grille or aluminum foil for 10 minutes at 475 F / 250 C. After they're done, remove them from the oven, add a tiny bit more honey if you like, and enjoy!
