I can't seem to find a recipe in grams/ounces for a chocolate beetroot cake using ingredients I have/want to use, I'm British and don't use 'cups' and don't have anything to measure a recipe in cups. Also, I have eggs that need using up so want a recipe that uses maybe 2-4 eggs, making about 4-8 portions. I found one recipe that seemed perfect, but it was eggless! Also, I don't use lots of cooking oil and don't have a huge amount left, so butter as the fat would be preferable. Although if a recipe uses 100ml of oil, can I just add 100ml of melted butter? And some recipes include some coffee which I don't want to add. I'm not sure if taking out the liquid completely would change the texture too much? It can also use milk or dark chocolate.
I'm going away in a few days so have some stuff I want to use up but also don't want to buy a load of fresh stuff that won't be used up. I also don't have a food processor which some recipes say to use. I have an immersion blender and grater.
Any ideas?
