A simple cinnamon snack with some dipping sauce, enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 ounce cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
- In a small bowl, combine shortening, flour and salt with fork or pastry blender until crumbly.
- Add about a 1/2 cup ice cold water to form a ball with the mixture.
- Roll out dough onto a floured surface until about 1/4 inch thick.
- Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture on top of dough.
- Using a pizza cutter or knife, create sticks to your desired size- about 1" x 4".
- Place on a cookie sheet and bake at 375°F for 15-18 minutes.
- Meanwhile, make dipping sauce- Beat cream cheese and butter until fluffy.
- Add vanilla, milk and powder sugar. Mix until combined.
- Dip your cinnasticks and enjoy!
