Cinnamon Sticks w/ Vanilla Dipping Sauce

A simple cinnamon snack with some dipping sauce, enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 ounce cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine shortening, flour and salt with fork or pastry blender until crumbly.
  2. Add about a 1/2 cup ice cold water to form a ball with the mixture.
  3. Roll out dough onto a floured surface until about 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture on top of dough.
  5. Using a pizza cutter or knife, create sticks to your desired size- about 1" x 4".
  6. Place on a cookie sheet and bake at 375°F for 15-18 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, make dipping sauce- Beat cream cheese and butter until fluffy.
  8. Add vanilla, milk and powder sugar. Mix until combined.
  9. Dip your cinnasticks and enjoy!
